This soothing topical cream is an effective anti-fungal, antiseptic and antibacterial barrier cream intended for use on horses and donkeys with Mallenders & Sallenders, or hyperkeratosis. This excess buildup of keratin on the back of the knee or the front of the hocks can cause scabbing, cracks and sores, resulting in sensitivity to touch or even lameness.
Made from 100% natural ingredients and pure essential oils, this highly water repellent cream provides a protective barrier against the environment. The cream helps support the natural healing process of cracks, sores, callused skin, fixed scabs, superficial wounds and helps soothe itchy, dry skin. Keeping the skin supple and in good skin condition is necessary for healthy hair regrowth.
Available in both 250ml (perfect for a single horse) and 500ml sizes.

Feathered breeds are prone to feather mites, or chorioptic mange. Often found on the legs, they can also affect the mane or base of the tail. Symptoms include rubbing of the mane, tail and legs, and stamping of the feet. Untreated cases can result in bacterial infections due to open sores caused by rubbing.
Our shampoo and spray are designed to soothe itching and eliminate the cause of the irritation and can be used as part of a healthy skin care routine.

Maintaining healthy feather means keeping it moisturized to prevent breakage. Shire oil is a plant-based alternative to Pig Oil & Sulphur ( made from by products of the petro-chemical industry) for conditioning feathers. Farriers Equine Care produce a 100% natural plant based conditioning oil that will remove tangles and leave feathers silky soft and supple. It can also be used in muddy conditions to prevent mud and ice from clinging or staining feather. Peppermint oil also helps repel mites.
Available in a 500ml spray bottle or a 1 liter refill, it's a must-have.
Use caution when applying in strong sunlight, as oil can magnify the sun's effect.
Handmade from the purest certified organic plant oils, this soap creates a rich, creamy lather that cleans and conditions feather, mane and tail and produces a silky show finish. Wet the area with clean water. Scoop a tablespoon size amount of soft soap into the palm of your hand and massage into the hair to create a strong lather. Leave for several minutes to allow the conditioner to penetrate and condition the hair shaft before rinsing.
Ingredients: Saponified Coconut Oil, Palm Oil (sustainably sourced), Olive Oil, Jojoba Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Cocoa Butter, Shea Butter, Vegetable Glycerin (derived from Coconut).
Scratches, also known as mud fever, greasy heel, pastern dermatitis, cracked heels and dew poisoning, can affect any horse. Characterized by patchy red skin, lesions, oozing and swelling, this painful condition is often caused by moisture on the skin that is unable to dry out, though many other factors can cause it. Legs with white skin may be more prone to develop scratches.
Our cream acts as an effective barrier to moisture, while treating the cause of the irritation. It contains three pure essential oils known for their anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and antiseptic properties. Made from natural emollients specifically chosen to prevent and treat cracked heels, this cream softens the scabs and promotes healthy skin growth. It can also be used to help prevent mud attaching to the lower legs in boggy, wet conditions. Also effective in the treatment of Rain Rot.

Sweet Itch is a condition caused by an allergic reaction to biting midges, resulting in itchiness that causes horses and ponies to rub their skin for relief. Excess rubbing can result in hair loss and open sores. Our cream can be used to offer relief to affected areas and deter midges. Use in conjunction with a fly sheet and other bug control measures.
Farriers Sweet Itch Cream is plant based and contains Benzyl Benzoate to help relieve symptoms. With added Eucalyptus & Lemon Essential Oil, this is a great way to keep biting insects away from sensitive areas. This product can be applied to the ridge of the mane and dock of the tail. Should be applied prior to the midge season and used regularly throughout the summer months.

A time-tested, staple product in the battle with sweet itch, Biteback Sweet Relief lotion and cream is ideal for horses that are bothered by flies and midges and tend to rub themselves after being bitten.
* Forms a physical barrier on the skin, preventing midge bites
* Itching will be soothed
* If usage starts early (while the skin is still intact), bites and rubbing can be avoided
* Skin should start to look revitalized after a week of use
* Always patch test before using extensively
* Ideally start usage in very early Spring and carry on through to Autumn, applying each day to mane, tail, and other areas targeted by midges
* Simply spray on, then rub/brush into target areas once a day
* A 500ml bottle should last an average of 2 weeks in high season, depending on the size of the area being sprayed. If just mane and tail then it will last much longer
* The spray bottles come with a Canyon fine trigger spray to allow easy application and economical use. Use the spray nozzle to get right into the roots of the mane.
Our trigger sprays arrive in the 'off' position. To adjust the spray, twist the nozzle at the end to the right. It can produce both a fine mist and a jet spray.
Ingredients: benzyl benzoate to moisturize and help form a protective barrier; emollients and benzyl alcohol to soothe; allantoin, which assists cell regeneration and bog myrtle (myrica gale) oil, an aromatic fragrance which has historically been associated with guarding against midges.
